No server, no backdoor, nothing to subpoena.
The app's network policy blocks outbound connections to anything but its own origin. Recovery depends on the secret you hold, so there is no reset button for us to press.

Can Apple's built-in tools do this for free?
Partly. In Photos, you can select images and choose Hide, or use Feature This Person Less to reduce surprise Memories. Those steps don't add a date-based archive, a cool-down, or a portable encrypted backup. If the built-in options are enough for you, keep using them.
Do my photos or recovery secrets ever leave my phone?
No. The app blocks outbound connections except to its own origin, and encryption, thumbnails and metadata stay in local storage. Because there is no server recovery, run the restore proof and save your backup file before you delete anything from your library.
